CCWC Women of Color Entrepreneur Grant

Corporate Counsel Women of Color will award five (5) $5,000.00 Grants to women of color entrepreneurs.

Criteria for the CCWC Women of Color Entrepreneur Grant:

  1. The business must operate in the United States.
  2. The business must be established as of January 1, 2020 with a EIN number.
  3. The business is a legal for-profit business. 
  4. The business has generated over $25,000 in revenue since January 1, 2020.
  5. The applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submitting this application.
  6. The CCWC review committee will review submissions on a rolling basis, and grants will be awarded to winners and finalists in January and September.

Corporate Counsel Women of Color was founded in 2004 with the mission to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. Today, CCWC is the nation’s largest organization for corporate in-house women of color attorneys, who work for Fortune 1000 and Forbes 2000 Legal Departments. In addition, CCWC represents over 10,000 lawyers, judges, lawyer entrepreneurs, and law students. CCWC’s breadth and reach extend to every region of the United States, as well as Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. Corporate Counsel Women of Color is in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2023.

The organization’s power rests in the strength, talent, skills, credentials, and knowledge base that the diverse women in the group collectively possess.

The group is represented in over 900 companies from the airline, automotive, apparel, banking, beverage, computer, cosmetic, construction, defense, energy, entertainment, financial, furniture, food, gas, health, home improvement, hospitality, insurance, internet, oil, pharmaceutical, postal, medical, retail, technology, telecommunications, mass media, sports, and transportation industries.

The group also has an expansive and extraordinary wealth of knowledge, which encompasses diverse legal disciplines, including but not limited to: administrative, advertising, affirmative action, anti-piracy, antitrust, banking, cable, commercial transactions, contracts, copyright, corporate, dispute management, domestic and cross-border , e-commerce, education, electric franchise, employment, entertainment, environmental, finance, first amendment, franchise, intellectual property, governance, Indian and tribal, international business transactions, labor, licensing, litigation, lottery, management, marketing, media, music, patents, private equity, real estate, regulatory, sales, securities, technology, trade secrets, and trademarks.

Today, CORPORATE COUNSEL WOMEN OF COLOR has over 5,000 in-house women attorneys of color on the East Coast, West Coast, and in the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest regions of the United States of America, as well as in Canada, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
